Why the score is local
The Texas paraprofessional exam used by many districts is the ETS ParaPro Assessment, Test 1755, but TEA does not publish one statewide passing score. ETS says each agency sets its own qualifying score. Compare that pattern with other states on the state score directory.

Educational Aide certificate
TEA’s Educational Aide page says you must be employed by a school district before you can apply. If the district has not told you to apply, TEA will not process the application. The district recommends you and enters Educational Aide I, II, or III. Questions about that recommendation go to the employing district, not to a statewide score line. Title I after you are hired
TASB says Title I, Part A paraprofessionals need a diploma or equivalent, the Educational Aide certificate within one year of hire, and one of three screens: 48 semester hours, an associate degree or higher, or a local academic assessment of reading, writing, and mathematics assistance. Districts document that assessment. ParaPro is one accepted example, along with an education service center test or Project PARA. Practice the 1755 format on the 90-question practice test only when your district uses ParaPro.

What is the ParaPro passing score in Texas?
Texas does not publish one statewide ParaPro score. The ETS state-requirements table lists named Texas agencies, including ESC Region 19 at 467, Fort Worth ISD at 461, Katy ISD at 464, Keller, Lamar, North East, and South San Antonio at 465, and Midland ISD at 455.
Can I apply for a Texas Educational Aide certificate before I am hired?
No. TEA says you must be employed by a school district before you are eligible to apply. The employing district recommends the application and enters whether you qualify as Educational Aide I, II, or III.
How do Title I aides qualify in Texas?

Does Houston, Dallas, or Austin ISD use 467?
Those three districts are not named on the ETS ParaPro state-requirements table. Ask the district that will receive the score. Do not treat ESC Region 19’s 467 as a statewide or big-city cutoff.
